How to revoke a token approval#
The first time you swap a token or add it to a pool, you must approve it. This gives the Centurion Protocol permission to swap that token from your wallet.
Sometimes a token approval needs to be revoked, for example:
- Your wallet has been compromised.
- You want to change the amount of a token that has been approved.
- You want to reduce the risk of stolen funds.
If you revoke a token approval, you will need to approve the token again the next time you swap it on CenturionDEX.
How to revoke a token approval#
- Go to the approval-checker (token approval) section of the Centurion block explorer.
- Connect your wallet.
- Revoke the token approval from any address you wish.
Revoking an approval requires a network cost, and it is different from disconnecting your wallet from a dapp.
