WhatsApp or Telegram investment scams#
Last modified: August 10, 2026
WhatsApp or Telegram investment scams add users to private groups that promise high returns, secret trading signals, or guaranteed crypto income. These groups may use fake members, fake screenshots, and impersonated admins to make the scheme look active.
What it looks like#
You are added to a Telegram group without asking. Several accounts post screenshots showing large CTN profits from a “Centurion arbitrage pool.” An admin tells you to connect a wallet to a private dashboard or send CTN to start. When you try to withdraw, they demand a tax, activation fee, or larger deposit. The profits were fake, and the payment requests are part of the scam.
Warning signs#
- You were added without permission.
- The group promises large returns with little or no risk.
- Members pressure you to act quickly or keep the opportunity private.
- The admin asks for a wallet signature, transfer, seed phrase, or tax payment.
- The dashboard shows profits but blocks withdrawals.
- The group claims that a CenturionDEX pool, token listing, or missing warning label proves safety.
CenturionDEX is a non-custodial DEX interface. It does not operate managed investment groups, pledge accounts, or private trading programs.
What to do#
Do not participate, connect a wallet, or provide personal information. Leave and report the group on the platform. If you already signed a wallet request, review and revoke permissions. If you sent funds, preserve transaction hashes and report the incident through official channels and appropriate authorities.
