Impersonation website scams#

Scammers commonly build a website that pretends to be another website. This is known as website spoofing.

These fake sites are designed to trick you into approving a malicious contract. Approving one through a spoofed site can result in a total loss of your tokens and NFTs.

To protect yourself:

  • Always confirm the URL matches the official site exactly before connecting your wallet.
  • Be cautious of links shared on Discord, Telegram, or other social and messaging platforms.
  • If you are unsure about a link, contact the support team of the site you intend to use through an official channel.
  • If your wallet, internet provider, or browser warns that a site is suspicious, do not continue.
  • Consider using a reputable transaction-screening browser extension that flags malicious sites and signatures.
