Error message: Swap failed#
A "Swap failed" error can appear while swapping on the CenturionDEX web app.
Note: This error does not mean you lost funds paying the network cost.
It may be a browser error#
Simple steps often clear it:
- Disconnect and then reconnect your wallet.
- Clear the cookies and cache for the CenturionDEX web app, or use a different browser.
- Hard refresh the web app — Control + Shift + R on Windows, or Command + Shift + R on Mac.
- Restart your device.
If that doesn't help#
- The token may be unsellable. Malicious creators can add code preventing anyone but themselves from swapping. See Unsellable-token scams.
- The token may have a variable buy or sell fee. The swap's slippage must be higher than the token's fee; if the fee rises, increase your slippage manually. See How to find a token's fee.
- A non-standard approval function. Some tokens use a different approval process. Try revoking existing approvals for the token, then swap again.
- The token causes a mathematical error. Rebase and fee-on-transfer tokens have internal math that changes a swap's output and can interfere with calculations. Try swapping an even or exact input or output amount.
