What are token warnings?#
Token warnings help users make informed decisions about tokens. You may see info labels or warnings while swapping and browsing tokens in the CenturionDEX interface. They provide extra context about a token. Token warnings are not investment advice or a recommendation about any token.
Token warnings are available for CRC-20 tokens on Centurion.
What the different warnings mean#
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Malicious – General | Flagged as malicious. The token may be related to a scam or harmful activity, such as redirecting to phishing sites or containing malicious contract code. Always do your own research. |
| 100% Sell Fee Detected | Selling sends all of the token's value to the creator, so you receive nothing. Swapping may result in a loss of funds. |
| Impersonator | Flagged for impersonating a different token. Use the contract address to confirm you have the token you intend to swap. |
| Honeypot | Flagged as a potential honeypot token. Always do your own research. |
| Spam | Flagged as potential spam based on the token's on-chain airdrop history. |
| High Buy or Sell Fee | Charges a high fee when bought or sold. Swapping may result in a loss of funds. |
| Warning | Not traded on a leading centralized exchange. |
| Not Available | Not supported in the CenturionDEX interface. See the Unsupported Token List. |
Warnings are generated using a third-party token-screening provider, combined with on-chain heuristics. Centurion Labs does not guarantee their accuracy and makes no representations about their completeness; data may be unavailable for newer or less popular tokens, and no token is reviewed for its merits as an investment.
If you believe a token is on the Unsupported Token List in error, you can file an appeal.
Additional disclosure#
Token warnings are not investment advice and are not exhaustive of all risks. Always conduct your own research before buying or selling any token. You are responsible for your own decisions based on your objectives and risk tolerance.
