How to cancel a limit order#
An open limit order can be cancelled on the CenturionDEX web app.
Cancelling requires a network cost for the cancelling transaction, because the blockchain has to process it. Network costs go to the network for processing and are not collected by Centurion Labs.
A limit order may still execute even after a cancellation is submitted, in two situations:
- The order executes before the cancellation is submitted.
- The order executes after you submit the cancellation but before it is processed on-chain.
To cancel an open limit order:
- Open the CenturionDEX web app and connect your wallet.
- Select Portfolio.
- Select Activity.
- Select the limit order(s) you would like to cancel. Cancelling multiple orders at once is more efficient and can save on network costs.
- Select Cancel limit.
- Select Proceed.
- In your wallet, confirm the cancellation. This requires a network cost.
- The cancellation is submitted to the blockchain and shows as pending.
- You will see "Cancellation successful" and a green checkmark once it completes.
To view the cancellation on-chain, select View on Explorer.
