What is the Zora network?#

The Zora network is an optimistic Ethereum layer 2 built with the OP Stack and historically oriented toward onchain media and creator applications. It is separate from Centurion, and CenturionDEX does not operate on Zora.

How the Zora network works#

An optimistic rollup executes transactions on layer 2, batches transaction data, and settles through contracts associated with Ethereum. A sequencer normally provides fast ordering, while the protocol's dispute and withdrawal mechanisms govern deeper finality.

The network uses EVM-compatible accounts and contracts, so wallet interactions can resemble those on Centurion. Similarity of interface does not mean shared state or shared applications.

Centurion is a Proof-of-Stake layer 1 with the CVM, CTN, Newtons, CRC standards, and mainnet chain ID 286.

What this means for CenturionDEX#

Centurion Protocol v2 and v3 pools exist only on Centurion. A Zora marketplace, token, bridge, or AMM is not part of CenturionDEX and may have unrelated contracts, fees, operators, and security assumptions.

When using CenturionDEX, confirm that your wallet shows Centurion mainnet or an intended Centurion testnet. Do not approve a network switch to Zora as part of a CenturionDEX swap.

Tokens and cross-network movement#

Assets created for media or social applications can be highly speculative and may have little liquidity. A matching name or image does not identify a Centurion token.

Moving an asset between Zora and another chain requires a supported bridge or issuer process. Directly sending to the same-looking address does not move the asset across networks. A bridge representation can depend on additional contracts and may not be redeemable if the route is unsupported.

Common issues#

  • A Zora asset appears in a wallet but not CenturionDEX: it exists on a different network.
  • An image or collection name is copied: verify contract, token ID, and network.
  • A site claims Zora liquidity is available through CenturionDEX: verify official Centurion information and do not sign based on the claim.
  • A bridge requests broad operator approval: inspect the exact asset scope and spender.
  • A transaction was sent on Zora by mistake: CenturionDEX cannot reverse it; recovery depends on the destination controller.

Stay safe#

Creator branding and professional media do not prove a contract is safe. Verify network and contract details, review every signature, and never share a recovery phrase or private key for minting, bridging, or support.
