Centurion Labs Trademark Guidelines

Last modified: August 10, 2026

Background#

Centurion Labs has created and deployed versions of the CenturionDEX Protocol and creates and distributes other software and products. While much of the code developed by Centurion Labs is available to download, review, and improve under open-source and source-available software licenses, none of our software licenses include a license to use our trademarks. Proper use of our trademarks is essential to inform users of Centurion Labs' connection to specific products or services. When using our trademarks, you must comply with these Centurion Labs Trademark Guidelines. Just like other projects, we must enforce our trademark rights to protect our users.

Scope#

These guidelines cover all of our trademarks and service marks (collectively, "Trademarks"), whether they are registered or not, including, among others:

  • Trademarks: CENTURIONDEX, CTN, and CENTURION LABS ("Centurion Labs wordmarks").
  • Centurion Labs logos.

If you want to report misuse of a Centurion Labs trademark, please contact us at legal@centurionlabs.org.

Acceptable Uses#

You may do the following without receiving specific permission from Centurion Labs:

  • Use the Centurion Labs wordmarks in text to truthfully refer to, describe, or link to unmodified CenturionDEX smart contracts, protocols, interfaces, programs, products, services, and technologies ("CenturionDEX software").
  • Use the Centurion Labs wordmarks to truthfully describe modified versions of CenturionDEX software that you may create or make available. For example, you may say "This software is derived from CenturionDEX software" or "This service uses software derived from CenturionDEX software."
  • Use the Centurion Labs wordmarks in software or aggregators that integrate with CenturionDEX software to truthfully refer to, and, where possible, link to the applicable CenturionDEX software deployed on public blockchains.
  • Use the Centurion Labs wordmarks to clearly signal to users that there is no affiliation with or endorsement by Centurion Labs in software or aggregators that integrate with CenturionDEX software.
  • Follow the terms of the licenses for CenturionDEX software.

Implementation of Acceptable Uses#

You must include a trademark attribution notice at the first or most prominent mention of the Centurion Labs wordmark on a webpage, document, or documentation, such as: "[Centurion Labs trademark] is a trademark of Centurion Labs."

You must always use the Centurion Labs wordmarks in their exact form and with the correct spelling, neither abbreviated, hyphenated, nor combined with any other word or words.

You must always use the Centurion Labs wordmarks only as an adjective, never as a noun or verb, or in plural or possessive forms.

Use the generic term for the Centurion Labs product or service following the trademark.

For example: CenturionDEX protocol, CenturionDEX interface.

All other uses of Centurion Labs Trademarks require our prior written permission.

Contact us at legal@centurionlabs.org with requests for permission or for more information.

Unacceptable Uses#

There are some uses of our Trademarks that are not acceptable.

  • Do not use our Trademarks in anything dishonest or fraudulent.
  • Our name is not your name. Do not use Centurion Labs Trademarks in the name of your smart contract, interface, business, product, service, app, domain name, username, publication, or other offering.
  • Do not use our name for your products. Do not apply Centurion Labs Trademarks to your product, such as a mobile app, unless such use is limited to a truthful and descriptive reference, such as "Mobile app for trading on the CenturionDEX interface."
  • Do not emphasize our mark. Do not display Centurion Labs Trademarks more prominently than your product, service, or company name.
  • Do not use or imitate our distinctive website design, logos, designs, or typefaces.
  • Do not create or use confusingly similar Trademarks or names. Do not use Trademarks, company names, slogans, domain names, or designs that are confusingly similar to Centurion Labs Trademarks.
  • Do not imply our affiliation with, connection to, or association with you or your products or services. For example, please do not name your project compatible with CenturionDEX software Centurion-[Something].
  • Do not imply our sponsorship, approval, or endorsement of your activities, products, or services. For example, you cannot name your social media account, page, or community "CenturionDEX Protocol" or "Centurion Labs Team."
  • Do not create swag with our Trademarks. Do not use Centurion Labs Trademarks on merchandise, such as t-shirts or mugs, without our permission.
  • Do not change or combine our marks. Do not modify Centurion Labs Trademarks, abbreviate them, combine them with any other symbols, words, or images, or incorporate them into a tagline or slogan.
  • Do not use the Centurion Labs logos without prior written permission.

Others' Trademarks#

A note on others' trademarks: Centurion Labs operates one of the interfaces for accessing the CenturionDEX Protocol, but does not operate or control third-party tokens or third-party activity on public blockchain networks. Without the involvement of Centurion Labs, a third-party developer can use a public blockchain protocol to create a token that may implicate others' trademarks or other rights and add that token to the CenturionDEX Protocol. Centurion Labs cannot prevent or block all actions related to the CenturionDEX Protocol. However, if Centurion Labs becomes aware of trademark misuse allegations, we will work with trademark owners to review the allegations and may block content from the Centurion Labs interface.
